problem with the others
tired of waiting for domain searches to load?
or even faulty data, it says its free but it really isn't,
or maybe you just want to save your search setting, for future searching,
or you use more then one domain search engine because they don't support all extentions,
maybe you're just tired of not being able to customize your search to your needs.
domainica
The idea for the name domainica came from researching domain hacks (one of our modules). We wanted to integrate 'domain' (cause we're a domain name search engine) and '.ca' (cause we're canadian). From merging them together we came up with 'domainica'. When searching domainica on the internet you'll come accross technical documents about frequency domain ICA (Independent Computing Architecture).
story about where the idea came from, and the voyage to now
The idea of domainica, was founded over a pint after a grooling exam back in April 2008. As the planning consumed us and the constant research for ways and techniques that would enable us to provide a service that the domain giants didn't see a need for and show no interest of creating. A need for a better way to find domains was clearly needed.
What makes us stand out
- As you type a domain name into the query box we immediately check its availability. No clicking, just typing
- more accurate results then any other instant domain search engine. Other instant domain search site use DNS records to check, unknowing to them the DNS records are not complete. We go to the source to get you the most accurate results.
- we're just as fast.
- we don't limit you to just .com, .net, .org . we give you access to all the domain extensions possible.
- custom search settings to best suit your needs not the one guy sitting in his parents basement that made one of the others.
- for users all your settings are automatically saved (unless there is a save button obvisouly)
- most importantly, we're not some guy living in his parents basement building a 'pet project'.
- we don't pocket our commisions, we reinvest them back into domainica, creating more features for it's users.
where we're going
- more and more features
- we enjoy building domainica and have a list of feature still to be added plus all the ideas you send our way.
